Adrian Casey:

Adrian has a degree in Computing and Information Systems and a PGCE in Primary Education (QTS).  He specialises in supporting Maths and ICT, but can support any Primary subject.  He has also worked as a programme leader with the National Citizen Service for 5 years and champions the social inclusion and engagement of young people struggling with mainstream education.

Adrian has worked in mainstream primary, secondary, FE,  SEND and ESBD environments.

He has a passion for topic-based education, maximising the engagement and enjoyment for his pupils.  Due to his background, he actively encourages students to utilise computers for research and work production; this fosters numerous benefits for those who may struggle with written work and verbal communication.  He encourages greater independence by supplementing core subjects with life skills.  During his postgraduate studies, Adrian researched and proved the benefits of computer technology in improving literacy progress, specifically with KS2 boys.

How the vision began:

Emma and Adrian are both passionate about animals, their welfare and therapeutic value within an educational environment.

They both became interested in training dogs to use for Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT).

In addition, Emma has worked with horses throughout her life and has successfully worked with students, building strong bonds with horses in therapeutic and educational support programmes.  Their dog Gem is also an integral part of the vision.  Click here for more about her.
